Hatching

Hatching examines the birth of form and the eruption of life from the very entrails of matter. The sculpture presents a torn metal plate from whose eroded edges a domed, organic body sprouts, dotted with textured protuberances. From this core under tension, fine rods break away and wind into the surrounding space, ending in subtle suspended forms that suggest a vital germination. It is a work in which the solidity of metal gives way to the expansive force of the organic, turning metal into a dynamic testimony of metamorphosis and origin.
