Here the everyday object is given new meaning through the sharp crossing of the working tool, the play on words and visual poetry. Text and matter engage one another with irony and depth, turning the utilitarian into a territory of aesthetic reflection. The work reclaims the value of human effort and physical wear, raising the simple gesture of manual labour to the status of an intimate, reflective monument.
