The structure gives precise material form to the logic of a conceptual palindrome, in which the terms invert and mirror one another in a play of opposites — which is why the title stays in Spanish. The sculpted metal questions the thresholds of identity, of the lock and of origin. Like the two-faced god, the piece looks at once towards what we were and what is to come, fusing verbal language and three-dimensional matter into a single reversible reading.
