Threshold

Threshold gives material form to the passage between spaces and states of consciousness through a rigorous construction in iron. The sculpture rises from a solid square base, unfolding two symmetrical vertical profiles that open at the centre like a passageway, crowned by rough textures and fire-eroded edges. It is a piece that embodies the liminal idea par excellence: a door opening onto the unknown, in which metal takes on a deep poetic lightness, inviting the viewer to cross symbolically the limits of matter.
