Bound

Bound explores the tension of the tie and the containment of matter. A block of polychrome metal with rough textures rises from a base and is firmly run through by a metal filament acting as a binding. This winding line compresses and holds the vertical structure, giving it a deep sense of rootedness and endurance. It is a work about what holds us up, binds us together and keeps us standing against the passing of time.
