To the Sacrifice II

This construction in iron fuses constructive rigour with a deep symbolic charge. The work rises vertically in a stylised ogival silhouette, within which hang elements evoking the earth, the harvest and the offering: ears of maize modelled with organic textures rest on horizontal metal bars. The rough surfaces, eroded edges and ascending lines give the piece a ritual solemnity. It is a work in which matter becomes a vehicle of memory, paying tribute to effort, to giving and to the fruits of the earth.
