A vertical metal tube, cut open at its midsection by a wound stitched with wire that shelters a spherical core, is crowned with open lateral arms and a fluted upper mouth. The work captures the physical and emotional effort of torsion, turning the rigidity of steel into a flexible form that expresses the tension of bodily limits and the resilience of matter under pressure.
