Barbs

The rawness of boundary-marking and confinement takes shape here through a forceful construction in iron. The sculpture rises from a solid circular base on a vertical support that holds a large metal plate at an angle, like a blade. Across its surface, branded and worked in relief, a line of barbed wire snakes as though passing through the material itself, spilling over at one end to hang freely into the surrounding space.
