Stillness

Stillness manages to suspend time through a construction in iron as rigorous as it is poetic. The work is articulated by a triangular base out of which chain links rise, overcoming gravity to anchor the vertical structure, topped by a circular toothed wheel. Inside this fluted ring, a metal sphere rests in delicate balance, like a core stopped in space. It is an impossible piece, in which the industrial heaviness of steel grows still and becomes ethereal, turning the sculpture into a symbol of pause and inner harmony.
